Gates Flag & Banner are absolutely incredible! We were in a bind to get ready for graduation and from start to finish they kept me updated, knew exactly what we wanted, and was able to get them to us in time, ready for the ceremony [...] Incredible customer service all around. - Rebecca Fizer, Germanna Community College
Gonfalons are commonly used for college graduation ceremonies. These banners typically feature a pointed or otherwise specially-shaped bottom edge, and are meant to be grandiose and ornamental in appearance. They can be finished in a wide variety of materials and in a multitude of finishing styles.

Gonfalons are typically made with a 3” flat pole pocket along the top, which is then slid over a crossbar.

All gonfalons used for processions are finished with a backliner that features Velcro loops which ensure the gonfalon will remain secured to the pole.

Parade banners are horizontal banners that showcase organizations, schools, charities, or causes during community events. These banners can be customized in size to fit the carriers and setting. Parade banners are fabricated using various materials and print techniques, while decorative details, such as fringe or shaped bottom edges, can also be added for extra impact. Our design team is available to help create bold graphics that will stand out in a parade.

Additional Information: Rectangular parade banners can also be finished with weighted tape sewn into the bottom edge, which allows the banner to hang straighter during parade processions, suitable for windy conditions. (Not available on customized shapes.)

Indoor banners include various styles that typically hang on walls, from ceilings, or on podiums and pulpits. Wall-mounted styles are usually single-sided with backliners and grommets, while ceiling-hung versions often use pole pockets for double-sided viewing. Podium banners are built like smaller gonfalons, with a crossbar, decorative end caps, and cord and tassel for a polished look. Indoor banner design can capture anything from school logos to vivid photography. Let our design team help liven up your indoor spaces!
